The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year to recruit officers for:
- Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun
- Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala
- Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad
- Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Men & Women)

1. Nationality:
- Citizen of India or subject of Bhutan/Nepal.
- Tibetan refugees settled in India before January 1, 1962.
- Indian origin migrants from select countries intending to settle in India.
2. Age Limit & Marital Status:
