Foundation Course Sees 15.09% Pass Rate; Toppers Announced for Inter & Final Exams
New Delhi, India – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today, July 6, 2025, declared the highly anticipated results for the CA May 2025 Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations. The results are now accessible on the official ICAI websites: icai.org, icaiexam.icai.org, and icai.nic.in.
Vrinda Agarwal of Ghaziabad has emerged as the All India Topper for the CA Foundation course, achieving an impressive score of 362 out of 400 marks, translating to 90.5%. Following closely, Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar of Mumbai secured the second All India Rank with 359 marks (89.75%). The third position was bagged by Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Thane, who scored 358 marks (89.5%).
The CA Foundation May 2025 examination witnessed a total of 82,662 candidates, with 12,474 successfully clearing the exam. This translates to an overall pass percentage of 15.09%. A gender-wise breakdown reveals that among 43,389 male candidates, 7,056 passed (16.26% pass percentage), while out of 39,273 female candidates, 5,418 passed (13.80% pass percentage). This pass rate for the Foundation course is notably lower than the 21.52% recorded in the January 2025 session.
The ICAI CA May 2025 exams were conducted on various dates, with the Foundation course held on May 15, 17, 19, and 21. Candidates for all courses can access their results by visiting the official ICAI website, clicking on the relevant result link, and entering their registration number/roll number, date of birth, and captcha code.

In addition to the Foundation results, ICAI also announced the toppers for the CA Final and Intermediate exams. Rajan Kabra topped the CA Final exam, while Disha Ashish Gokhru secured the All India Rank 1 in the CA Intermediate course. The CA Final (both groups) recorded a pass percentage of 18.75%, while the CA Intermediate (both groups) saw a pass percentage of 13.22%.
The CA examinations are renowned for their rigorous standards and competitive nature. To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% in each paper and an overall aggregate of 50% in the respective course group. Candidates achieving 70% or more are awarded a “Pass with Distinction.”
